FAQ

If you can't find the answer to your question here then please contact us.

Can I loan/donate items to the archive?
Yes please! We are always grateful for new contributions. However, our new policy is only to accept donations rather than loans, as we cannot take liability for any loss or damage to items in the archive. Please contact us to make arrangements if you have something you would like to donate, or if you would like to reclaim something you have loaned in the past..
Can I visit the archive?
At the moment we are still in the early stages of organising and cataloguing everything. As such, we cannot allow visitors into the archive yet. However, we hope to make visits possible by special arrangement in future.
I loaned you an item. How do I get it back?
Please contact us to tell us exactly what you would like returned, and we will make arrangements.
Isn't it a playable archive?
Yes, that is our ultimate goal... but we are not quite there yet! We plan to organise events where students and other interested individuals can try out specific items in the archive. We also hope to offer access by special arrangement to anybody with specific needs.
There is a mistake in your catalogue. Can you correct it?
Sorry about that! If you spot a mistake please contact us to let us know. Where possible please tell us the source of information to back-up the correction.
Who is organising the archive?
The main committee behind the archive consists of Scott Roberts, Karen Mitchell, Peter R. Bloomfield, and Dr. John Sutherland.

Scott and Karen are students of Computer Games Development at UWS. Peter is a PhD student, and graduate / occasional guest lecturer of the Computer Games Technology degree. John is the programme leader for the Computer Games Development degree at UWS.
Who owns the contents of the archive?
The SVGA becomes the owner of any items donated to the archive. In the event that the SVGA disbands, we will attempt to transfer contents to other organisations with similar goals.
